“Ha, ha, you’re so cute.” Meg laughed. “I guess it must seem that way. I don’t know, maybe it’s just dried up for me.”

Ariel shrugged, before gazing around trying to think of something to say that would spark up conversation. As long as she had this human girl here, she wanted to talk to her — maybe even make friends with her! The thought of an actual human friend was all too exciting! “So, what else do humans do on land?” She wanted to know anything and everything. Now, with both elbows propping her up on the edge of the riverbank, her chin was rested in her palms. Ariel couldn’t wait to learn more about what it was like to live outside of the ocean.

“We cook, dance, sing, act, write- probably everything you do under the sea.” she laughed. “Um, we ride horses. Well, most ride horses. I’ve taken to walking instead.” She relaxed as the sun came out, warming her skin. “What do you do under the surface?”

Rapunzel Could Not Believe It. (and open Para)

iwillusethis:

She ran.
Rapunzel raced through the trees, tears flew past her face like the branches that cut into her cheeks. She still ran, her bare feet tripping her up, but somehow she managed to stay balanced and kept pushing herself. Faster, faster, always faster. Eugene was in danger- he was gone. Rapunzel didn’t know where. he could be anywhere, she needed to find him.
Eugene.
Always Eugene. This wasn’t fair. They were getting married- they were going to be together forever. Rapunzel stopped looking ahead for a moment, she her eyes traveled to her engagement ring, resting on her finger, a beacon for her love. A symbol of Eugene’s. And no he was in trouble. Rapunzel was positive it had something to do with a shady deal and one hot-headed god.
The only problem was that she had no idea where she was going, where Eugene was, or how she was going to find him and get him home. Alive.

Meg was out for a walk when she heard the sound of someone rushing through the forest. She could hear twigs snapping, panicked footsteps, the whole nine yards. She caught sight of the girl running at top speed, then pausing for a moment, and upon her stop, she realized it was Rapunzel.

“Hey!” Meg called out across the forest. “Everything all right?”

“You’re lucky you’re in the sea.” Meg replied. “I could just was all my problems away living in the water. It must be such a great change from what goes on up here. Life on the sand isn’t all it’s cracked up to be, kid.” Meg shook her head. “I’m a little jealous. It sounds incredible under there. Atlantica sounds like a dream come true.”

True, the sea did have its own kind of charm, but Ariel was still certain that life on land was so much more exciting. “I doubt it…” She replied, without so much as a second thought. It baffled her that a human would actually want to live in the ocean. Though, she could tell Meg had meant what she had said. That made Ariel wish there was a way she could bring Meg to Atlantica, just to visit. “The land seems so… so magical!”

“Ha, ha, you’re so cute.” Meg laughed. “I guess it must seem that way. I don’t know, maybe it’s just dried up for me.”

Introductions | Meg & Ariel

“It sounds fun.” Meg smiled. It did. She’d always liked the water, especially trying to dance in it when she was a kid. It reminded her of that, she supposed, although it was probably different with a tail. “What’s it like to live under the sea?”

Ariel floated in silence for several moments. She had never really thought that humans would be so curious about sea life. It was normal to her. It was all she knew. “It’s pretty cool, I suppose….” Her response came out as if she weren’t entirely convinced of her own words. But the truth was, she did enjoy Atlantica most of the time. “… Nothing like it must be living on land though.” She continued.

After debating with herself for a while; she decided to elaborate. “My dad rules over a kingdom called Atlantica. That’s where I live.” Ariel flashed a grin as she proceeded. “And there’s so much to explore! Sunken ships! Caves! Canyons!” The endless adventures were probably her favorite thing about living underwater. She could swim anywhere her tail would carry her and it was awesome!
